Customise shift swap cut-off time

Summary

A "shift swap cut-off time" refers to a predefined deadline before a scheduled shift starts, by which employees must submit any requests to swap their shifts with a fellow employee.

This cut-off time is established by the organisation or managed through RosterElf to ensure there's sufficient time to review, approve, and process shift swap requests without disrupting the smooth operation of the business.

How to Customise Shift Swap Cut-Off Time

Step 1. Go to Roster Settings

Navigate to the 'Settings' tab at the top menu, and select 'Roster'.

Step 2. Customise the Cut-Off Time Using Dropdown.

Select between 0, 12, 24, 36 or 48 hours as the cut-off time.

For instance, if 34 hours is set, employees can only submit their requests to swap shifts with another employee up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of the shift they wish to swap.
