How to Install a Progressive Web App (PWA) Using Google Chrome on a Mac

Begin by launching the Google Chrome browser on your Mac. Navigate to the website of the PWA you wish to install. If necessary, log in with your credentials to access full site features. To add the PWA to your Applications folder or dock, click the 'Install' icon in the right part of the address bar (often represented by a plus sign in a circle).

If this icon isn't visible, click the three dots at the top right corner of Chrome to open the menu, and select 'Install' from the dropdown options. You can personalize the app’s name during the installation process to better suit your preferences. Once installed, the PWA will appear in your Applications folder or can be added to the dock for quick access.

This installation provides a seamless app-like experience directly from your Mac desktop, enhancing productivity and accessibility to your RosterElf account.

 

Steps

 

1. Open Google Chrome.

Launch chrome browser on your Mac device.

2. Enter the PWA URL.

Go to www.rosterelf.net/login.

3. Log In.

 

Enter your RosterElf credentials and complete any multi-factor authentication (MFA) required.

4. Install the PWA.

Click on the install icon located in the top right corner of the Chrome browser. This action might sometimes be represented by an icon (like a computer or a plus sign) directly in the browser's address bar, indicating that the site can be installed as a PWA. A pop up message will show, then select "Install" option.

5. Confirm Installation.

Follow any additional prompts to complete the installation process. This may include confirming where you want the shortcut placed or additional settings specific to the PWA.

Once installed, the PWA icon will appear on your home screen or taskbar, depending on your choice during installation. You can click this icon to launch the PWA directly, enjoying a native app-like experience.
