This article explains the difference between Available Candidates, Potential Matches and All Employees when selecting an employee for a shift.

Available Candidates

Available candidates are used for shift swaps and open shifts. Anyone listed in the available candidate section has nominated themselves for the shift. In other words, they want to work. Therefore, when the Available Candidates section is available, we recommend selecting staff from this section first before considering the tabs below.

Perfect Matches

The Perfect Match tab shows employees assigned to the site and the position you are trying to fill. You will notice that some are in Green while others are in Grey, Yellow or Red. Employees marked in Green are available to work during the shift times, so they are always the best choice in this tab. You can hover over the little speech bubble to see why staff are not available.

All Employees

All Employees includes everyone on your account regardless of the position or site. However, we recommend only using the All Employees list to select an employee in emergencies as these are people less suitable for the role.
