RosterElf's rostering system has three periods for our customers to use when rostering: Daily, Weekly and Monthly. For the most part, Weekly and Monthly are the same design, so functionality remains the same. Whereas the Daily View is designed to use the space on the screen with added functionality that wouldn't be possible on the other two views. You can switch between the views at any time.
Businesses with different shifts throughout the day will often build a roster for each day in the daily view so they can see they have the right coverage at all times and jump out to the weekly or monthly view to see the bigger picture, whether that be to keep in budget for labour costs or to ensure staff get their required hours for the period.
The Daily View uses a Gantt chart style of operation with vertical bars that you can adjust to change the start and finish times. The Daily view is a visual way of creating and reviewing rosters day by day. With its graphic nature, this view will enable you to see coverage to identify gaps and find shifts you can adjust to meet budgets.
Weekly and Monthly Views
These views are more of a helicopter view of the roster to assist in reviewing overall coverage, managing staff fatigue and sharing available hours between employees.
