Managing public holidays in RosterElf

This guide explains how RosterElf handles public holidays for your sites and how you can customise them if needed. RosterElf automatically assigns public holidays based on the site's state or country, simplifying roster management across multiple locations. You can also add custom public holidays to meet your company's unique requirements. This feature helps ensure correct pay rates for public holidays, which is crucial for accurate payroll processing.

Follow this guide to learn how to manage and customise public holiday settings in RosterElf for each site.

1. How public holidays work in RosterElf

RosterElf automatically applies public holidays based on a site's location. Sites in countries without states default to national holidays. This functionality is ideal for businesses with multiple sites, allowing different locations to manage unique holiday sets.

Public holidays appear in red on the roster and automatically apply the correct pay rates for budgeting and payroll.
