Requesting Leave Using the Mobile App


This guide explains how to request leave using the RosterElf mobile app. Submitting leave requests ensures your unavailability is communicated to managers. Once submitted, your request will be reviewed. You will receive an email notification about the outcome—whether approved or declined. If approved, you will be marked unavailable for the requested dates. For leave requests via a browser, see Requesting Leave from a Browser. This guide provides simple, step-by-step instructions to help you request leave efficiently.


1. Access the leave section


To request leave, start by navigating to the leave section in the app. This section also allows you to manage future leave requests.

1.1 Open the RosterElf app

1.1.1 Tap My Shifts at the bottom of the screen.

1.1.2 Select the Leave tab at the top right.

1.2 View existing requests

1.2.1 Browse your current leave requests in the list.

1.2.2 Delete any future leave requests if necessary.


2. Submit a new leave request


Submitting a leave request is straightforward. Follow the steps below to add a new request.

2.1 Add a leave request

2.1.1 Click the Plus icon (+) at the top right.

2.1.2 Enter the leave date range and the reason for your request.

2.2 Save the leave request

2.2.1 Tap Save to submit your request.

1. How do I request leave on the RosterElf app?

To request leave, open the RosterElf app and navigate to My Shifts at the bottom of the screen. Then, select the Leave tab, click the Plus icon (+) at the top right, enter the leave details, and tap Save to submit your request.

2. Can I edit or delete a leave request?

Yes, you can delete any future leave requests. Go to the Leave tab, find the request you want to delete, and remove it as needed. Editing submitted requests is not supported, so you must delete and resubmit the request if changes are needed.

3. What happens after I submit a leave request?

Once submitted, your leave request will be reviewed by your manager. You’ll receive an email notification with the approval or decline status. If approved, your unavailability will be updated in the system.

4. Can I view my existing leave requests on the app?

Yes, you can view all your existing and future leave requests by navigating to the Leave tab in the app. This section lists your requests for easy reference.

5. Do I need to provide a reason for my leave request?

Yes, providing a reason is required when submitting a leave request. You must include it when entering the leave date range in the app.
