Setting standard unpaid breaks

Summary

If your business has set un-paid break rules based on shift length, you can set these as standard rules on your account that will apply whenever a shift is created.

 

How to Setup 

If your business has set un-paid break rules based on shift length, you can set these as standard rules on your account that will apply whenever a shift is created.

 

Step 1. Go to Roster Settings.

This can be found in the Settings section on the top menu.

Step 2. Click on the Unpaid Breaks Tab.

Step 3. Customise Unpaid Breaks 

You will now need to customise your standard unpaid break by shift length. 

For instance, in the example below:

  • Shifts of 5-6 hours will be allocated a 30-minute unpaid break
  • Shifts of 6-7 hours will be allocated a 30-minute unpaid break
  • Shifts of 7-8 hours will be allocated a 60-minute unpaid break
  • Shifts of 8-9 hours will be allocated a 60-minute unpaid break
  • Shifts of 10-11 hours will be allocated a 60-minute unpaid break
  • Shifts of 11-12 hours will be allocated a 60-minute unpaid break
  • Shifts of 12+ hours will be allocated a 60-minute unpaid break
